Let's Shop!

Central Waipu offers many specialty shops as well as all the retail outlets you’d expect in an enterprising small town.

It’s easy to spend an hour or two browsing the main street, checking out the vintage collection at Industry, stocking up on essentials at the Four Square, collecting and sending at Waipu Lotto & Post or filling up your car at the local GAS.

When it’s time to stop for a bite to eat you’re spoilt for choice with a great variety of cafes and restaurants lining the streets. If you are after something quick, the Waipu Bakery and Lydia Sushi are always popular.

Bookending town are Blackshed Gallery & Homewares (opposite McLeod’s Pizza Barn) and along the Braigh is Red Door Gallery showcasing local and Northland artists.

Every 2nd Sunday of the month the boutique artisan market is held in the Coronation Hall with local goods and produce for sale, and the ever-popular Street Markets are a great place to find gifts and curios on long holiday weekends.

That's why we love it here!
