Rich in history, Waipu plays host to many hugely popular annual events including the famous Waipu Highland Games (still going after 150 years) on the 31st December.

The pleasant Northland climate makes Waipu’s thriving outdoor events calendar possible from the Labour Weekend Street Market, Xmas Eve Parade, annual Car and Bike Show, right through to the ever popular Easter Carnival.

 

And things don’t quieten down too much in the cooler months either with our Winter in Waipu festival running right throughout July – a month long celebration of community driven, highly entertaining, tartan-focussed events.
 

Of course, there is a wealth of other local talent and artists around who bring their special entertainment along with events held in the Celtic Barn and Coronation Hall. Regular top-class concerts to also look out for are Classics in the Cove and then the more intimate event at Black Sheep Farm Country Homestead.
