About Us
Promote Waipu, officially known as Waipu Business and Community Inc, is a non-profit community group with all proceeds from our activities fed directly back into the Waipu community. Our committee is made up of a combination of passionate business people and local residents all with a strong community spirit.
While we do have our own range of entertaining events (such as the ever-popular Xmas Eve Street Parade, five massive Street & Park Markets throughout the year, the Winter in Waipu programme throughout July, along with a number of informative local business networking gatherings) we pride ourselves on being the only local organisation focused on supporting and promoting the entire Waipu community.
We also successfully manage and/or support local beautification projects and have good lines of communication with local bodies and Government Agencies. Our ultimate goal is to assist in promoting Waipu as the most desirable place to live, work and play!
Promote Waipu actively encourages community participation, be it by way of volunteering at one of the many local community events, becoming a Promote Waipu business member (our base business website listing is offered free to all Waipu based businesses) and/or joining our friendly committee. We’d love you to be part of our wider family – in one way or another!

Our Community
Just 90 minutes north of Auckland and 30 minutes south of Whangarei, Waipu is situated on one of the most stunning coastlines in New Zealand.
